I share your confusion Miranda regarding black cats. I too always understood it was lucky to have a black cat cross one’s path, and then a few years ago cat rescue centres (I think over here in the UK, but maybe, as I was viewing them online, they were in fact in the US?) were bemoaning the fact that people thought black cats were UNlucky (and so didn’t choose them). No idea when/where/how that change came about. Who decides these things??!
