This was quite nostalgic for me. I still have a jar of small pebbles from Aldeburgh beach, collected on a cycle trip almost 40 years ago. I remember we all packed as little as possible in our panniers and saddlebags, leaving room for the ‘spoils’ from many stops along the way at East Anglia’s secondhand bookshops. The House in the Clouds was a “must see”, although only possible from a distance. It always reminded me of The Nuthatch, home to the Nutts, in the Valiant comic from the 60s!
Welcome to London, Miranda and Happy New Year – thank you for the podcasts
